Lately I’ve been very busy with work and have not had time to make any post. A few weeks ago I hear of an individual needing a design for his new product/invention. Whenever trying to come up with GUIDs for items the Visual Studio “Create GUID” can easily take care of this by selecting it from the Tools drop down menu, choosing the proper GUID Format and clicking the “Copy” button.

When creating reusable site content there are 2 options, site templates and site definitions. Even though site templates are relatively easy to create, site definitions are far more flexible and can be used to perform mass changes on sites created from the same definition.

In this tutorial we will go over how to create a custom site definition along with site columns and content types automatically activated using feature stapling.

Okay… Just wanted to share a bit about a tragedy that happened not too long ago.  It all started in November of 2008.  I went ahead and decided to upgrade from my Canon Rebel XT to a Canon 50D.  As soon as I got my hands on that new camera I was IN LOVE!  So many great features, superb image quality, super-fast continuous shooting, a dream come true!  But sadly enough as we all know, dreams come to an end.
